ACORD XML standards
are internationally agreed XML data standards specifically designed for the
insurance industry and run by a non-profit association.
The ACORD standards were
created to allow different companies to transact business electronically with
agents, brokers, underwriters and any other company they share, or need to
share, information with in the insurance and reinsurance industries. They serve
as a common language for use by multiple parties, allowing for easier
connections and much faster processing promoting huge efficiencies within the
market as a whole.
Yellowblox has
adopted the Acord Reinsurance and Large Commercial (RLC) and Document Repository
Interoperability (DRI) standards allowing us to transfer data between any other
Acord compliant companies seamlessly and efficiently with the minimum of
connection complications.
This technology is also at the centre of our ability
to integrate with the Lloyds London Market Repository; the Insurance Market
Repository (IMR) and the CLASS database (both run by Xchanging), which means
that data now only has to be input once and it can populate the databases of all
the involved parties - true market efficiency - the Yellowblox
way.
